The freedom and excitement of planning a new life on the journey, and the stories, friendship and promises made on the way. The timing/rhythm is that of a Sea Shanty, which were team working songs, sung in unison for onboard work like pulling up a mainsail, pulling a rope round a capstan or weighing an anchor. (Song 10).
